For the month of November, let’s come together to celebrate the senior pets in our lives. Beginning at around the age of 7 for dogs, 7 for cats, and 3 for ferrets, your pet enters their mature years. At this stage in your pet's life, many disease processes can begin to develop. Since our pets are really good at hiding any sign of illness, we recommend seeing your mature and senior pets on a bi-annual basis (especially ferrets). These preventive visits help us identify potential health issues earlier, help your pet live their best life by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and may help you avoid additional costs associated with treatments if a disease goes undetected.
